"When women hear the word 'insulin' they automatically tune out because they think it doesn't relate to them," said Carolyn O'Neil, RD. "However, all women, not just people with diabetes, should pay close attention to how their lifestyle impacts their blood sugar levels, especially those with a family history of diabetes and heart disease. By keeping their blood sugar in check now, they will reap significant health benefits down the road."
